Meredith Leigh Monroe (born December 30, 1968) is an American actress best-known for her role as Andie McPhee on Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2000. She was a series regular in Seasons 2-3, appeared in several episodes at the beginning and end of season 4, and was a special guest star in the final series episode in Season 6, though these scenes were cut from the televised episode, but appear on the DVD extended cut release. Aged thirty-four at the time of the series finale, Monroe was the oldest cast member of the show, being thirty years old when she first appeared in Season 2 as the sixteen year old Andie.

Biography

Monroe was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois. She attended Millikin University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She can currently be seen as a recurring guest star on Criminal Minds. She married Steven Kavovit in August 1999.
